The Hidden Jewel

Once upon a time there was a man who fell into a drunken sleep. His friend stayed by him as long as he could, but being compelled to go on, and fearing that the drunken man might be in want, the friend hid a jewel in the drunken man’s garment. When the man recovered, not knowing that his friend had hidden a jewel in his garment, he wandered about many years in poverty and hunger. A long time afterwards the two men met again and the friend told the poor man about the jewel and advised him to look for it.



Like the drunken man of the story, so many of us wander about suffering in this life of birth and death, unconscious of what is hidden away in our inner nature, pure and untarnished--the priceless treasure of Divine Nature.





A smart man can learn from smart men

But a wise man can learn from everyone

Sleeping At Church

A couple went to church every week, but every week without fail the husband would fall asleep during the sermon.

The wife, being embarrassed by her husband’s loud snoring, decided to bring a needle to the next service with her and poke him when he nods off.

The next week when they were in church the husband, as always, fell asleep. When the preacher asked, “Who created the earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th?” The wife stuck her husband with the needle and he jumped up and exclaimed, “Oh my God!” The preacher said, “That’s correct.” And the husband sat down mumbling to himself.

He soon fell asleep again and when the preacher got to the question, “And who died on the cross to save us from eternal damnation?” The wife stuck her husband again and he jumped up and exclaimed, “Jesus Christ!” And the preacher said, “Right again.” With this the husband fell suspicious of his wife and decided to catch her in the act.

The husband pretended to fall asleep while keeping an eye on his wife when the preacher said, “What did Mary say to Joseph after Jesus was born?” The wife started to poke her husband again, but before she could the husband jumped up and exclaimed, “If you stick that damn thing in me again, I’m going to break it in half!”

NAIL IN THE FENCE

A Good Story for Great Friends.....Make sure you read all the way down to the last sentence!

There once was a little girl who had a bad temper. Her mother gave her a bag of nails and told her that every time she lost her temper, she must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the girl had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as she learned to control her anger, the
number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. She discovered it was easier to hold her temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the girl didn't lose her temper at all. She told her mother about it and the mother suggested that
the girl now pull out one nail for each day that she was able to hold her temper. The day passed and the young girl was finally able to tell her mother that all the nails were gone.

The mother took her daughter by the hand and led her to the fence. She said, "You have done well, my daughter, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one." You can put a knife in a person and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

Friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us .

padahal uang sekolah mereka tuh...
dirusak2 pula...

My friend suggested me to join this forum since I was once a student from Meth2.....
I just registered few minutes ago and I would like to say that I was really enthralled by the touching stories.......
I also happened to read the replies for the topic "Question" and I got the impression that the users are supposed to use English only????
Neways, I was just eager to find out whether Jimmou was the one writing all the stories.
